Quick post cos I’m running out of batteries!

Today started out as a short day, only 300kms, but ended up being one of the biggest at 645km.

Down to Three Ways in a shocker crosswind, then down via Tennant Creek to Wycliffe Well.  Then a sudden burst of enthusiasm took us back up to Three Ways and across East to Barkly Homestead.

Kel enjoying the endless drive

We were only going to go to the Devils Marbles and then have a look around there and also at Wycliffe Well.  But we got such an early start to the day, that we’d done all that much quicker than we expected.

Wycliffe Well was interesting enough, but only kept us occupied for about 30 minutes.  About an hour looking around the Devils Marbles was also enough.  I’d have liked to stay longer and take some dusk photos there, but that meant sitting around for about 5 hours waiting.

So … we decided to press on and see if we could get to tomorrow nights destination a day earlier.  That’s where we are tonight … Barkly Homestead.  A nice little oasis in the desert.  Powered sites, drinkable water.  All good.
