Last day in Bali started out with a sleep in … followed by an eventual breakfast at the hotel.  Nobody had the energy to walk far enough to get the big version, so we settled for sitting at the beachside table and ordering a normal sized brekky for a change.

Things were looking good … we had no plans.  We did need to pack our bags, at some point, and get to the airport in time for the flight … but not much else on the agenda … and what was on there was sounding pretty optional.  I certainly planned on doing nothing useful and it was a given that Blake wasn’t capable of anything useful so we were half-way there.

Kel threatened to upset the applecart by going to Hardy’s for a ‘big shop’.  But she strangely finds this relaxing … without the kids.  B&H were quite happy to just go back to bed and play Nintendo and read.  A decision made all that more delicious for them when they were reminded that all their mates had been at school for 4 hours now.

I made a half-hearted effort to get this blog up to date … and it will be by the time we leave Bali.

Kel even came back smiling after getting lots of good stuff at good prices from right under our noses.  Next year I don’t think she’ll bother bartering at all.  It just doesn’t seem to be worth it anymore.  The same stuff at cheaper prices can be had without hassle at the big chain stores now.  There’s a few unique items hiding in the markets, but for clothes it just ain’t worth the hassle.

Hannah’s afternoon was taken up with getting her hair re-braided.  Kel had a massage nearby to keep Hann company .. not that she cared.  The hour or so process of re-braiding was just an excuse for her to play more Nintendo.  Blake was content to sit in a beach lounge, within wi-fi range and tinker with his ipod.  He managed to order a pizza for himself and also scored some free cake due to his nice indonesian manners.  I went and got my feet eaten again and topped up the money.

Leaving Bali is a bit of an expensive exercise.  150,000 RP each for departure tax, 150,000 RP each for access to the nicer departure lounge … dinner at some point, at airport prices, since Jetstar won’t see fit to feed us.  $200 right there easily.  We might try and sneak in a quick dinner in Sanur before we leave, but we’ll see.
