The day held huge promise for doing nothing, as we slept in until nearly 9am.  The late, lazy, brekky inevitably turned into a shopping trip on the way back and all hopes of a relaxing day faded rapidly from view.

Blake had to stop and get his feet eaten by fish.  Kel wanted a stuff bag for keeping stuff in.  Hannah wanted a new bikini.  Dad just wanted to hop in the pool, but was resoundingly overruled … again.

Eventually we made it back to the hotel by 12pm, just in time for a quick dip before the discussions about what and where lunch would be had begun.

Lunch managed to get postponed until 3pm though … not a bad thing.  A swim in the pool was had and an afternoon nap for Dad & Blake was enjoyed.

We had pre-arranged to get picked up at 5pm to go to Jimbaran for dinner, so that set a schedule for the day.  This scheduling thing is something we need to work on scrapping as it is just too stressful.

Jimbaran is famous for its seafood, unfortunately Bali is not.  We did get a good serving of Lobster, Crab, Squid, Prawns, Fish, Mussels, etc … but its not a patch on what you can get at home.  It’s hard to put the finger on, but its just not as yummy.  The fish is no Barra … the Prawns aren’t quite King Prawns, the calamari just a little tough … I’m being picky here … It’s one hell of a feast, but misses the mark of perfection.  The location makes up for this somewhat, however.  There is undeniably something very special about having dinner by candlelight on the beach with squidgy sand between your toes watching the blinking lights from all the fishing boats catching tomorrows dinner.

All good fun.  We’ll all sleep well tonight as we’ve got the biggest day of shopping planned for tomorrow.  Kel’s a bit hard to get into the shopping mood sometimes and tomorrow is the dedicated shopping day.  She’s going to buy STUFF … no matter what!
