The rain continued overnight but it wasn’t as intense as Busselton.  I was up at 6:30 to go and take the car for its tuneup.

I had an appointment in the city for 11am, so I went back to get the family to have a look around.  The kids were just waking up when I got back … the lazy sleeperinnerers.

We headed back into the big town and instantly remembered what we loved about traffic lights … nothing!  With the usual amount of fuss we found a parking spot.  I headed off for my appointment and Kel & the kids went and got a coffee and ice cream.  The ice cream budget for the trip is rapidly being used up!

We all hooked up again and had a look at Swan Bells.  This is a huge bell tower on the edge of the city that has a few sets of bells installed.  There is one set of 15 bells that can be manually rung and therefore qualifies as one of the largest musical instruments in the world.  Another set is hooked up to a restored clock from Royal Ascot racecourse that rings every 15 minutes.

We all had a go at ringing the bells and looking particularly dorky doing it too.

Once all that hard work was done, we headed over to the ‘Lucky Shag’ pub next door for a pint.

Last touristy stop was up at Kings Park for lunch and a roam around.

Perth is truly a beautiful city with all the gardens and BLUE water around it.  She even was kind to us with the weather this afternoon.

All the walking around the park tuckered these little legs right out. Lots more coming kiddies … lots more!

Nope … still not buying you a pony, Han

Dinner was a tasty chilli con carne.  Quiet night in, punctuated by bursts of rain. We all can’t wait to leave this weather behind.
